What can we do for your business?
The modern day small business has become equally as dependent
on its Information Technology (IT) systems
as many large corporations; minus the budget
to hire an internal IT staff to support
their technology needs. This is where Carmichael
Business Technology can help. It is our
goal to provide small businesses with high
quality corporate level IT service, presented
by a courteous professional, at a reasonable
cost. Carmichael Business Technology specializes
in helping your small business create, improve,
or streamline its entire IT infrastructure,
allowing your business to succeed and grow.
What is IT?
Information Technology (IT) is defined as: "Applied computer systems - both hardware and software, and often including networking and telecommunications, usually in the context of a business or other enterprise; often the name of the part of an enterprise that deals with all things electronic."
Carmichael Business Technology provides
you with the assistance and technical guidance
needed to research, develop, implement,
and administer your business's IT systems.
This includes but is not limited to servers,
networks, computers, applications, web sites,
telephones/telephone switches, printers,
copiers and fax machines. Carmichael Business
Technology is committed to taking the time
to understand the requirements unique to
your business in order to get the job done
right the first time.

Updated:Thu, 15 May 2008 21:55:29 PST Latest Study Confirms Cox Traffic Shaping; Comcast Misleading Againf folks have been submitting various news reports claiming the "news" that Cox is traffic shaping just like Comcast is -- but that's hardly news. We had a story about that last November. What is a bit more interesting out of the same study (though, not very surprising) is the news that Comcast has been less than forthright in explaining what it's doing. While Comcast denied any traffic shaping for the longest time, when it finally 'fessed up (just a bit) it said that it only used traffic shaping during peak hours. However, the research suggests otherwise. After testing a bunch of users at various times, this new study found no noticeable difference in blockages based on time.
